Robby Plemmons: Look to Christ and Be Changed

2 Corinthians 3:7-18 — August 30, 2026

Rev. Robby Plemmons

Paul says the law came with real glory — but a fading one. Like a sunset that points to the sun, it was never meant to be the destination. It is a referee who calls every play correctly and can never once enter the game on your behalf.

So where does actual change come from?

Not from trying harder. Paul takes the veil off Moses’ face and lays it over the human heart, then tells us how it comes off: not by cleaning ourselves up first, but by turning to Christ — carrying our sin with us rather than waiting until we have dealt with it ourselves. We become what we behold. And when we behold Him, we are transformed — slowly, often imperceptibly, and never by our own effort — from one degree of glory to another.

You do not have to be the hero of your own story. Turn and look.
