Can I Take Communion at CrossPoint?

Short answer: if you belong to Christ, yes.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper every week. We don't practice closed communion - the Table isn't ours to guard. It belongs to the Lord, and He provides it for his people.

So we don't ask what denomination you come from, and you don't need to be a member of CrossPoint. We invite you to come if:

  • You are looking to Christ to save you, by grace through faith

  • You have been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

  • You are a member in good standing of a church where the gospel is preached

If that describes you, you are welcome at this Table.

If it doesn't - if you're still working out what you believe, or you've never been baptized, or you aren't part of a church right now - we'd simply ask you to let the bread and cup pass. That isn't a judgment on you. Take it as an invitation to come and ask. Those are the questions we want people to ask, and one of our elders would be glad to answer them for you.

If you're simply between churches - new to the area, or still looking for a home - find one of our elders before the service. We'd rather talk it through with you than leave you guessing.

Children are welcome in the service, and many are here every Sunday. A child comes to the Table after professing faith, being examined by our elders, and being received as a communing member. Until then they wait alongside us, and that waiting gives them something to look toward. If your child is beginning to ask about it, tell one of our elders.

Come join us Sundays at 10:00 AM, 4199 Kilby Road, Park City.
